I'm a mid 20's male and am heading to the US on a solo trip shortly. I'm planning to stay in Vegas for a few nights in late Feb (2013) from Thursday to Sunday and am wondering if anyone has some tips on where to stay.
Being on my own I'm pretty keen to meet people I can go partying with so good bar areas which attract young people are a must have, and I'd like to be on or at least very close to the strip. With regard to price I can probably do about $200/night so most places other than the top of the line hotels (Mandarin/Bellagio etc) are in my price range
I have done a bit of research but most sites seem to have info a few years old and/or from people who have stayed there during summer, so I'm hoping to hear from people who've got some more relevant experience.
At the moment I'm probably leaning toward Planet Hollywood, but any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Hello all. I have just joined AGODA.COM hotel booking co. And have since made a booking and payed a hotel in BKK. I have received back from the hotel the confirmation email. Do i wait till i get to the hotel with my confirmation document or do i send a confirmation email to hotel before i get there, to make sure that everything is ok. Any advice would be apreciated. thanks.

Thanks for taking the time to discuss that, I really feel strongly about it and love learning more on that topic. If achievable, as you gain competence, would you mind updating your blog with more information? It is highly helpful for me.
